The Cash Shop
The Cash Shop
What Cash Points buy on Project Ragnarok Online, what they do not, and the honest answer on pay to win.
The Cash Shop
Cash Points are the optional shop currency, at a fixed 1 peso to 10 Cash Points. The game and the client are free and nothing here is needed to play. There are currently 148 priced entries in the shop; the full catalog opens with the closed beta.
Every purchase is handled by a person through a private Discord ticket, paid by GCash, bank transfer or PayPal. There is no automated payment page, and you do not need to be online when a payment is confirmed. Nothing expires while it waits for you. PayPal can buy Cash Points but not the withdrawable RMT Points, because PayPal payments can be reversed.
Is it pay to win?
The shop sells no weapons, no body armour and no cards. That part is true and it is worth saying plainly.
Six things in it do sell an advantage, and we would rather list them than have you find them:
| Stat headgear | A small set of permanent hats with modest stats, sold directly and never from a gacha. This is the one piece of permanent gear the shop sells, and each hat is shown in the catalog with its stats and price. They change hands only through the Marketplace, never by direct trade, so every resale is recorded. |
|---|---|
| Enriched Elunium and Oridecon | 15,000 CP for ten ores. They roughly double the success chance at every refine level that can fail, and a refine is permanent. Failure still destroys the item at exactly the same rate, so this buys better odds and never safety. The ore cannot be traded, and it is not shop only: Pink converts 30 ordinary ores plus 100,000 Zeny into one enriched ore in Prontera, Morocc, Payon and Alberta (three more towns open with later episodes). |
| MVP Arena Tickets | 2,000 CP each. Five arena runs a week are free. Tickets buy up to three more, and no further. MVP drops include cards, so this is the most direct purchase of power in the shop, and the cap is what keeps it fair. |
| Race experience rings | 600 CP for 7 days. Plus 15% experience against one monster race. Two of the same kind stack in your accessory slots. |
| Gym Pass and Inventory Expansion | 500 CP and 1,000 CP. Both permanent, both per character, and both convenience rather than combat power. The Gym Pass is +200 carry weight per pass, up to ten passes. |
| Card Removal Hammer, Character Rename Ticket, Refine Insurance | 1,500 CP, 3,000 CP and 25,000 CP. The hammer takes the cards out of one piece you are wearing, the ticket renames a character, and the insurance saves an item once when a refine would destroy it. The same three cost the same number in Rachel's Favor, with a monthly limit: Limited goods. |
A VIP account also earns 20% more base experience, 20% more job experience and 15% more drops while it is active, and takes half the usual experience loss on death. That is a real advantage and it lasts only as long as the subscription does.
Rentals, not purchases
The Rental tab sells timed accessories, the largest group in the shop. The one worth calling out by name is the All In One Ring, 600 CP for a 7 day rental: All Stats +1, immunity to cast interruption, and Heal and Teleport at level 1. Note that it also carries +10% cast time, which means your casting is slightly slower, not faster.
Rentals expire, cannot be traded and cannot be sold on.
Earning it instead
Rachel's Favor is the in-game currency for several of the same things. Its shop always stocks a Trade Pass at 200 Favor, a VIP Pass Box worth 1 day at 150 Favor, and a Repair Kit at 100 Favor, alongside a rotating line-up of 7 day equipment rentals.
Anything in that window which is also sold for Cash Points costs the same number in Rachel's Favor. Favor takes play time to earn, and the limited items have a weekly or monthly cap, so the Cash Shop stays the quicker route; the Favor listings exist so that a player who never spends money can still get the thing.

The promo packages
Three bundles, and each is limited to one purchase per account per calendar month. The tiers are capped separately, so buying the Basic does not use up your Intermediate.
| Basic | 1,000 Cash Points |
|---|---|
| Intermediate | 2,000 Cash Points |
| Advanced | 3,000 Cash Points |
The monthly limit is the point. It is what stops the packages becoming a way to buy an advantage in bulk.
Nothing that comes out of a package can be traded. What each one holds:

Neuralizer1xHairstyles and outfit dyes
There is no free stylist. Two salon NPCs inside Prontera take coupons from the Cash Shop, and trying a look on is free: the coupon is only used when you confirm.
| Hairstyle Coupon | 7,500 CP. Jovovich gives any hairstyle, or any hair colour, for one coupon. |
|---|---|
| Clothing dye coupons | Ginedin Rephere dyes your outfit to one of three new colours, or back to the original, for the matching coupon. |
Both are in the NPC list under Prontera, indoors.
Dalle, the fence
A costume drawn from the Monthly Costume Package cannot be dropped, traded, carted or mailed, and has no sell price. Keep opening packages and you will draw the same common costumes again, with nothing to do with the spares.
Dalle, in Prontera, is where those go. Dalle knows people who want them, pays one Monthly Package Token per costume, and takes 50,000 Zeny per costume for the introduction. Only Normal, Common and Rare costumes are accepted, and never your last copy of one.
One token per costume is deliberately generous: the package already gives a token on every open. Steeper rates were priced and rejected, because at ten or forty costumes per token a player works the ratio out once and never comes back. The Zeny cut is a fee in character and a Zeny sink out of it.
The Megaphone
150 Cash Points buys one server-wide broadcast. Your name is attached to it, and it is checked before it goes out: a broadcast channel with no limits is a scam channel within a day.
