Assist Mode

The official in-game bot: what it does, what each tier costs, and why it earns less than playing by hand.

Server online 2 players online Closed beta 15 Oct

Assist Mode

Assist Mode is the server's own bot. It is not a program you install and it is not something you can be banned for: it is a feature, every character has it, and it is free forever. You open it from the AUTO / PK button at the top right of the game screen.

It always earns less than you would playing by hand. On the free tier you keep 60% of normal experience and drops while it is hunting. Paying raises that figure but never past 90%. Playing manually is always 100%. The number for your own tier is printed on the first screen of the window, so you never have to take our word for it.

The tiers

TierPriceLengthEarns Combat skill slotsSupport skill slots
Free free, forever no expiry 60% 2 3
Starter 500 CP 3 days 70% 3 4
Weekly 1,000 CP 7 days 80% 5 5
Monthly 3,500 CP 30 days 90% 10 10

A skill slot is one skill you can hand the bot to use, with its own conditions. Combat slots are for what it does to monsters, support slots for what it does to you and your party.

There is no daily time limit on any tier, including the free one. Paid time runs in real hours from the moment you use the ticket, logged in or not. Activating a higher tier while a lower one is running banks the days you already paid, and they resume afterwards.

Assist Mode is per character, not per account. A Monthly pass used on one character does not unlock the bot on your others.

What it will and will not do

Every tier, the free one included, hunts, loots, drinks healing potions, casts the skills you give it, sits to recover, walks back to its map after dying, and can follow and support a party member instead of hunting. The paid tiers add the rest:

SP potions and buff potionsStarter and up. The free tier drinks healing potions only.
Choosing which monsters to huntWeekly and up. Below that the bot hunts any monster on the map.
Auto Teleport, to escape dangerWeekly and up. Instant teleport is Monthly only.
Auto Gear and Arrow SwapWeekly and up. Below that the bot fights with what you have equipped.
Your own death limit, and reviving on the spot with a Token of SiegfriedWeekly and up. Every tier walks back from its save point.
Auto Storage tripsMonthly only.
Loot Settings, choosing what it picks upMonthly only.
A heal set to "Always", on the free tierFires only once the ally is under 20% HP. Set the heal to "HP below" a level you choose and it heals at that level, on any tier.

There are two modes, switched with one tap in the menu. Combat hunts. Support follows a player you name, heals and buffs them and attacks what they attack; it needs that player to be online.

It never opens an NPC dialogue, takes a quest, crafts, refines, buys, sells, vends or trades. It does pay for two services on its own: it walks to a Kafra and pays her storage fee, and it pays a boat fare to cross water.

It refuses to start or keep hunting on a PvP map, a War of Emperium map or a battleground, and inside an instance: the MVP Arena, Emperium Defense and Ranked Duels. A bot on the field of a Field Conquest war is sent to its save point when the war starts. While it is hunting it ignores portals, so it cannot wander off the map you left it on.

A botting character is visible to everyone: a badge in the buff bar and a glowing effect, the same on every tier. There is no hidden botting here.

How it behaves

The menuThe first screen has Assist Mode on or off, Mode, Offline Hunting, Settings, Status and PK Mode. Settings is one row per feature: hunt target, Auto Skill, Auto Potion, Auto Looting, Auto Storage, Auto Teleport, Auto Sit, Death and Resurrection, Auto Gear and Arrow Swap. A row reads ON in green, OFF in red, and grey with the tier it needs when it is locked.
PK ModeThe bot and PK Mode never run together: switching PK on stops the bot, and it will not start while PK is on. The bot only ever targets monsters, so it does not fight back, and outside towns a character of level 60 or higher is not protected from a PK player. A death to a player counts toward the bot's death limit.
Boxes and quiversIt opens quivers, potion boxes and similar containers by itself when it needs what is inside.
Out of arrows, or too heavyThere is no free trip home. A bot that runs out of arrows, or is overweight with Auto Storage off, uses a Butterfly Wing if it carries one. Without one it walks back to its save map and stops there. Carry a Butterfly Wing if you want it home quickly.
If it diesIt respawns the way you would: at its save point on 1 HP. It sits and rests there until it is at least half healed, then walks back to its hunting map, so keep potions on it. If it cannot recover, for example because it is carrying too much, it stops at the save point. Reviving on the spot with a Token of Siegfried (Weekly and up) is still a full revive.
Fares it paysThe Kafra storage fee, and the boats: 150 Zeny from Izlude to Byalan Island and 500 Zeny from Izlude to Alberta.
Support mode, offlineA Support character left on Offline Hunting logs out if the player it follows has been offline for 15 minutes.

When the server is busy

Unlimited hours comes with one honest caveat. When the server is under heavy load, hunting is paused for Free bots first and Starter bots next, Weekly bots are only slowed, and Monthly bots are not throttled at all. In normal conditions none of this applies.

Offline Hunting

Offline Hunting keeps one character hunting after you close the game, marked AFK, for up to 8 hours per account per day. It reports what it earned when you log back in. It stops when the Monthly pass or the VIP 30 Days pass runs out.

It is the one genuinely expensive thing here: it needs an Assist Mode Monthly pass and an active VIP 30 Days pass at the same time, which is 7,000 Cash Points, about 700 pesos a month. Everything else on this page works without it.

Getting a pass without paying

Log in on 20 days of a calendar month and the day 20 check-in reward includes a free Weekly pass, worth 7 days. That one is bound to your account and cannot be passed on.

Two more free routes: Rachel's Limited goods sell an Assist Mode Starter Ticket (3 days) for Rachel's Favor once a month, and your first week of finishing the Quest Board on all seven days gives one Starter Ticket, once per account.

Passes bought in the Cash Shop can be sold in a vending shop by anyone. Handing one to another player face to face needs an active Trade Pass on the giver. Passes cannot be dropped, mailed, auctioned, sold to an NPC or put in guild storage.
