Privacy Notice
What Project Ragnarok Online collects about you, why, who else sees it, and how to have it removed.
The short version
- We collect what we need to run your account and the pre-registration: your email, your username, and the technical details every website sees (your IP address and browser).
- We never sell your data. We share it only with the services that help run the site, listed below.
- When you pre-register, we tell Meta (Facebook) that a sign-up happened, with your email scrambled beyond reading, so we can see which of our ads work.
- You can ask us to delete your pre-registration or account at any time.
What we collect
| When you pre-register | Your email, whether you want the closed beta, the date, and your IP address (to stop one person signing up many times). If you arrived from one of our ads or links we also note which one, and for Facebook ads the ad's click id. |

| When you browse | A session cookie that keeps forms working, and a daily count of visits to the Pre-Register page by where they came from. The count has no names or addresses in it. If you turn the music on or off, your browser remembers that choice; it stays on your device. |
Who else sees it
| Meta (Facebook) | When you pre-register or confirm your email, we send Meta that event with your email as a SHA-256 hash (a one-way scramble; the address itself is never sent), your IP address and browser, and the ad click id if you came from an ad. Meta uses it to tell us which ads bring players and to show our ads to people like the ones who signed up. |

| Cloudflare Turnstile | The "verify you are human" check on our forms. It sees your IP address and browser to tell people from bots. |

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and nothing else leaves our server.
How long we keep it, and your choices
Pre-registrations are kept until your launch package is delivered, and after that for as long as your account exists. Game and donation records are kept as long as your account exists, and donation records for as long as the law requires us to keep financial records.
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have your pre-registration or account deleted. Open a ticket on our Discord (see Support) and say what you would like done; we answer every request. Deleting an account also removes its characters and cannot be undone.
