Guild changes: 36 members, no alliances
Two guild rules changed today, and both are live.
- Guild size: a guild starts at 16 members and gains 2 for every Guild Extension level, so the biggest guild holds 36. It used to hold 76.
- Alliances: guilds can no longer ally with each other. A guild can still declare up to 3 enemy guilds.
- Client patch 347 corrects the Guild Extension skill text, which used to say +6 per level.
Why: our launch community is small. At 76 members a single guild could hold half the server, and an alliance would double that, so Field Conquest, GvG and King of the Emperium would be decided before they start. 36 leaves room for several real guilds.
We will look at both again once the server holds a steady 300 or more active players: first alliances, then a higher size cap. We are not promising a date.
